CALL FOR PERFORMERS!

Are you a Philadelphia highs school students?
A young artist just wanting to burst into the spotlight?
A LGBTQ identified youth? An Ally?
Are you ready to become a LEADer and make a difference?


If you answer yes to any of these questions, then it's time to sign up as a performer at the LEAD 2012 Conference! We are looking for POETS, WRITERS, and ACTIVISTS to get up and share their art. If you are interested, please contact Khaliah Pitts at kpitts@mazzonicenter.org . Let your voice be heard! Words are powerful, and they can change the world. Let's make that change together and LEAD!

And Don't Forget to Register for LEAD (click the link!) on 17 March 2012. There will be workshops, door prizes, and raffle giveaways. Breakfast and lunch will be served, as well as a closing ceremony Ice Cream Social.

LEAD is a day long FREE event sponsored by the Mazzoni Center's Ally Safe Schools Program, and organized by a dedicated team of youth and adult staff and volunteers. Through interactive workshops and activities, LEAD provides an opportunity to network, build relationships and develop strategies to create safer schools and stronger Gay-Straight Alliances. All High School students, young people, teachers, parents, and allies are encouraged to attend.
